Business Manager -
Margaret Robinson
I was lucky to be one of the original team of 4 when we opened the original clinic in Oct 2006. I have developed and increased the team to 25 in 2 1/2 years of business. Responsibility for creating and achieving new projects which promote our service is an important part of my role. I manage, develop and run the clinic overseeing the growth of the company and the team.
Likes - Shopping for shoes and handbags, good wine, my dog and new car.
Dislikes - people who don't co ordinate their outfits, horror movies and lazy people.
Assistant Manager -
Jackie Hall
I joined the clinic in 2007 as Receptionist and in a relatively short space of time have progressed to Assistant Manager. My duties are to oversee the Administration Team and generally support staff with their day to day duties. I also keep up to date records of over time worked, time off, holidays and sickness.
Likes - Annual foreign holidays, shopping & girly nights out!!
Dislikes - Bad manners & untidiness.
Physiotherapy Manager -
Shirin Lajevardi
I graduated in 2006 from Northumbria Univeristy and after a short spell of working in rugby I joined North East Clinic.
I co-ordinate the physiotherapy service and look after the seven full time physiotherapists on board. We now have the luxury of a purpose built clinic and in particular a fully equipped rehabilitation gym.
I have a special interest in sport and I am currently studying MSc in Sports Physiotherapy.
My aim is to offer a quality service that is flexible enough to meet the every need of each individual using it.
Likes - taekwondo training and teaching, gym, horse riding, walking, food and cooking.
Dislikes - rudeness, bad drivers, things that smell bad.
Operations Manager -
Ryan Hogben
In my role as Operations Manager I was brought into oversee the day to day running of the secretarial team, to help streamline the service we provide and bring new ideas and smarter ways of working.
Along with Margaret, I am also involved with sales side of the business. Helping promote the clinic and expanding the business as we look to move forward and establish ourselves as a market leader in the medico legal, treatment and rehabilitation sector.
Likes - Running, Golf, Football, Drinking and Hot Sunny Holidays.
Dislikes - Lazy people and Hangovers.
Head Receptionist -
Amy Cook
I was appointed the role of Head Receptionist in April 2009. I manager a team of 4 reception staff; which are split into two departments- Medical and Physiotherapy. I arrange and organize physiotherapy treatment for clients throughout the UK referred by solicitors or who contacted North East Clinic privately. Within my role I deal with general queries, organize and over see the running of the Reception desk and the service my team offer to all our clients. Visitors to North East clinic are assured of a warm welcome by the whole team.
Likes - BLING, Socializing with friends (in an appropriate manner!) and her bulldogs!
Dislikes - Mexican food, football and being late!
PA to Manager -
Elaine Cooper.
I help the business manager with all administration and secretarial support tasks in maximizing the service we are able to offer here at North East Clinic. I also manger the secretarial team and ensure that a fast efficient typing service and booking system is delivered to our visiting Medical Experts.
Likes - hairibo's, CSI and my children
Dislikes - Bad manners, putting the ironing away and people who don't support our troops.
Assistant Physiotherapy Manager -
Stephen Barwick
Born and bred in the North East, after graduating from Northumbria University in 2007 I joined the team as a physiotherapist in August the following year.
In Novemeber 2009 I was promoted to my new role of Assistant Physiotherapy Manager where I assist Shirin in the provision and running of the physiotherapy department.
Further to this, I am continuing my role as a physiotherapist; using our excellently equipped treatment rooms and running my own classes for numerous musculoskeletal conditions and general fitness.
Likes - My family (NOT the T.V show), keeping fit and my new car aka "The Beast"
Dislikes - Tardiness, 6 week reviews and reality T.V!
Physiotherapist -
Maggy Saget
I joined the North East Clinic in May 2009 . In my role, I provide physiotherapy assessments and treatments at both Doxford Park and the North East Clinic. I particularly enjoy having a hands-on approach to my treatments, with massage, mobilisations and acupuncture being my favourite choice.
I also run the facial rejuvenation acupuncture/acupressure service at the clinic. This service enables me to combine both my knowledge of soft tissue management and aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine while providing a comfortable environment for patients to fully relax in.
Likes - My job, climbing/bouldering, travelling, bivying, gymnastics, and above all the Great Outdoors.
Dislikes - Shopping malls, Christmas shopping, selfishness, racism and fake tans.
Physiotherapist -
Emma Jamieson
Originally from Scotland, I completed a BSc (hons) in Physiology with Sports Biomedicine in 2007 at Dundee University and moved to Newcastle to carry out a pre-registration Masters degree in Physiotherapy at Northumbria University. I joined the team in April 2010 and my working time is split between the North East Clinic and local facilities in the North East to out-source the physiotherapy service to our clients. I run a back to fitness class within the rehabilitation gym to assist in returning our clients to their full fitness potential. In my spare time I provide a physiotherapy service for a local ladies rugby team.
Likes - Going to the gym, dancing, socialising and good food
Dislikes - Spiders, rain and the pain of high heeled shoes!
Physiotherapist -
Mark Leighton
I graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2007 and I then went on to study the MSc (pre-registration) Physiotherapy degree, also at Northumbria University. After completing my MSc, I joined the team as a physiotherapist in January 2010 and I am thoroughly enjoying working in the excellent treatment and rehabilitation facilities that we provide. I have a special interest in sport and I also have a big interest in promoting physical activity for children.
Likes - Sport (especially football), keeping fit, Sunday dinners, and summer holidays.
Dislikes - Hangovers and emptying the dishwasher.
Physiotherapist -
Michael Armstrong
Born and raised on Tyneside, I began treating patients at The North East Clinic in December 2008 after studying for a physiotherapy degree in Manchester. When I arrived at the company we occupied a small clinic in Byker, so I have relished the move to our state of the art facilities at the current site. I also work part-time as a physiotherapist for a semi-professional Northern League football club. I assess and treat and range of different musculoskeletal conditions in my role at the clinic.
Likes - Nightclubs and sandwiches
Dislikes - Ignorance and pretentiousness

Daniel Farnell
Having lived in the North East all my life, going to Northumbria University to study was a no-brainer. After graduating in 2008 I moved to work for a charitable organisation in the area of Ergonomics.
I then travelled to America to work with underprivileged children for a 12 week period in 2009.
After finding my feet back on English soil I joined the physiotherapy team at the North East Clinic in November 2009. As well as working as a physiotherapist I'm working on establishing our ergonomics department.
Likes - Comedy shows, Italian sports cars and Good food
Dislikes - Mushrooms, Rainy days and Mobile phones in cinemas
Physiotherapist -
Sarah Hackett
I qualified as a physiotherapist at Teesside University in July 2010 and started working at North East Clinic in August 2010. I have also completed a second degree at the University of Sunderland in 2006 which was in Sport and Exercise Development.
I have a keen interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation and have also worked in a professional rugby setting treating on and off pitch side injuries. Further to this I help out at my club netball team with coaching and umpiring as well as treating any musculoskeletal injuries.
Likes - Holidays abroad, playing netball, posh restaurants
Dislikes - Lateness, finding car parking spaces
