The workshop will comprise of a series of lectures and practical sessions, the time will be divided approximately 50% theory and 50% practical.
This clinical workshop will address the key issues surrounding our current understanding of the treatment of tendonopathy, which is fast evolving. Focusing on methods of treatment and rehabilitation, which have proven to be effective, based on sound evidence based research.
Lectures will be given on aiethhology, pathology and imaging of tendinopathy. The workshops will address the key issues that confront physiotherapists treating tendinopathy from the acute phase through to end stage rehabilitation. Workshops will include evaluation and assessment together with special tests using loading assessment. Participants will be shown how to plan and implement a pragmatic treatment and rehabilitation program, using eccentric training strategies together with recognized conservative treatment methods. Following this one-day workshop physiotherapists should achieve the necessary skills and clinical competency to effectively treat tendinopathy.
